What is Rotary?

Rotary is a network of friends, neighbours and community leaders who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change — across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

What Does Rotary Do?

At the Rotary Club of Sidney by the Sea, we actively support many needs in the Sidney and Greater Victoria areas. We also contribute in communities across the globe, leveraging Rotary’s worldwide network of 1.2 million members in 35,000 clubs to create sustainable change in communities everywhere.

Rotarians Create Lasting Change

Across the Globe

Rotarians are problem solvers that tackle some of the worlds most challenging issues, such as ending polio and providing clean water.

In our Communities

Rotary projects impact communities everywhere. Rotary clubs identify needs in our own community and address them creatively.

In Ourselves

Rotary membership is not just about doing service projects — members develop valuable leadership and professional skills and gain lasting and diverse professional connections.

What is Rotary’s Mission?

We provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. Specifically, our club is dedicated to taking a leadership role in meeting the needs of youth and seniors in our local community, and promoting health, literacy,  economic self-sufficiency and supporting the environment in communities around the world.

Our club is part of Rotary International —a service organization with clubs across the globe
